@waidesignlab tried to reimagine “pendopo” as part of the house that unite all the house and family member through the multifunction use of it.
The inside is designed to have lots of open space as the result of few masses being put around the “pendopo”. As a result once inside the feeling of outside is still can be felt. The intention is to create a feeling in the village where the “pendopo” is at the center of the house where all can see it and all can see everything from it.
The “pendopo” is designed to be more simple to match the style of the house. As a result the pendopo is a structure that is humble where everyone can sit and gather.
The ideal house should have more open space where the occupants can gather and enjoy the togetherness. These days the technology has take over the real communication to the empty communication by the so called ‘social
Concerned about those kind of things, the designer decide to design a house where there are some spaces where it can unite both the spaces and the occupants to gather willingly and to use the spaces. The space itself is intented to be humble and multifunctional
